My B-man!

While I was cooking dinner, my sweet son was asking me how to spell a few words. So I helped him sound them out, then he told me to look at his picture.

How sweet is this?!?
It says, "I love Kelly & I love Ryan". He told me it was us on our Honeymoon riding away on a boat! Haha!! He can really try my patience and then he will do something like this!! Love that boy!!!

Busy Saturday

On Saturday morning Ryan & B headed to the local FFA show here in Lindale. Ryan said B had tons of fun looking at all the animals!! Ryan was all excited, telling me that he can't wait until Barrett can show. I was like WHAT?!? For one, I didn't know that we were into that sort of thing, and secondly, I will be the one doing most of the work! Ha!!

After the boys got home, we went to Lowe's and then to the dealership, we were getting some furniture out of storage. I decided it was time to move Jack into a "big boy" bed!! We had this great pottery barn bed in storage that is a queen size bed. I decided to give Barrett the queen size bed, and give Jack Barrett's twin bed. I knew this would be a big crazy mess, but it had to happen some time!! So we moved beds, but I still have tons of work to do!! I have to move the rest of Barrett's furniture into Jack's room and get Barrett new furniture!! Then I have to get them both new bedding, which I have had no luck finding!!! Ugh!!!

Please excuse the mess but here are the new beds, minus bedding. I can't believe I am showing these pics, both rooms look terrible right now!! Just keeping it real!

Here is Jack actually in the bed!! Amazingly enough, he slept in it with no problem!! Hopefully it will stay that way!! I hate these rails, but I think they make it feel like a crib.

Then I found Barrett like this......

Really??
Never dull around here!!!

Fun Friday!!

On Friday I had to run some errands in Tyler. I called Ashley to see if she would ride with me. She agreed and so we all headed to Tyler, minus the big boys who were at school.

We made some returns and then had lunch at Cheddar's!! Yum!!

We headed back to Lindale to pick up the boys. We were dropping Ashley & her boys off at their house, and they wanted Barrett to stay and play. Ashley called a little later and said that they wanted Barrett to spend the night. I told her that was fine, but he hadn't stayed over at anyone's yet & probably wouldn't! I talked to him on the phone and told him he could stay if he wanted, he was unsure!! I told Ashley to call me & I would come get him whenever!! So finally about 10:30 she called and said he was ready to come home. I was shocked he hadn't called earlier!! When I picked him up he said he had a blast and he would stay the night next time. He said "Mom! I didn't have my stuff, I couldn't stay!". Ha!! He is growing up to fast!!

Funday Monday!

I love that we had a holiday on Monday, it makes the week go by so fast!! It was a beautiful day, we had a great day playing outside!!

I had 11 kids in my backyard playing, ALL girls except for my 2 boys!! TROUBLE, HA!! I didn't get a picture because I was driving, but I had all 11 on the golf cart for rides around the neighborhood!

The boys have been loving the trampoline lately which scares me because Jack is fearless!!

I had to laugh at this pic, I don't even need firewood with my boys!! They love to clean up the yard by getting all the sticks, which is great!! They kept our fire going for a while with all their work!! Ha!!

We did have a little homework over the weekend, Barrett had to pick a famous American and do a poster on them. We of course, picked a "hunter" Davy Crockett. Haha!!

Barrett found him very interesting, he was begging to wear his coon skin cap to school on Tuesday!! Luckily, we couldn't find it!?!

We had a great dinner outside by the fire and my hubby was kind enough to let me watch the Bachelor, it was a wonderful evening!!

Sick Day

Poor Jack, as I mentioned has been sick. He seemed to be feeling better when we arrived home on Tuesday afternoon. Just to be safe Jack and I hung around the house on Wednesday to give him another day of recovery. He dressed up in his favorite hat and played around the house!!

Right before we left to go pick up Barrett from school Jack came to me like this...............

Yes, disgusting. I know!! That would be Aquaphor. Ughh!! All in the hair too!! That's fun!!

Just when I thought we were on the mend, Jack woke up sick AGAIN today!!! Then to top it off Barrett's school called me not long after he got there saying he was sick!!! REALLY!!! So I had to pick him up a few minutes ago. Both of my sick boys are resting now and turns out we are having another sick day today!!! Here is hoping tomorrow is a better day!!

Dallas Trip

On Monday I was up bright and early, literally. Jack woke up at midnight sick and we were up all night with him. I had planned on getting up to get ready at 5 am, and turns out I didn't need the alarm clock, ugh!! Poor baby, of course he would get sick when Ryan and I had plans to go out of town. My poor parents, having to come keep a sick baby!! I got up and headed out of town, while Ryan got the boys up and Barrett ready for school. I did get the boys Valentine gifts ready for when they woke up!

My Valentine's present was getting to go see the Pioneer Woman at her book signing!!! I left early that morning to wait in line at Borders Book store to get a wristband . I met some wonderful ladies while waiting!! Here we are in line.

I was so excited to meet Ree!! As most of you know I am a huge fan! I have made almost all of her recipes in the cookbook and am an avid follower of her blog! I couldn't miss her!! I was like the 4th person in line and got my wristband and book with out any problems!

Since Ryan was not coming to Dallas until later in the day, I asked Kristin to spend the day with me! We hit up Northpark, had a great lunch, waited for an hour for Sprinkles cupcakes and got pedicures. We had a fabulous time catching up. So great to see ya friend!!
Yes, this is the line inside Sprinkles. I know I was crazy for even attempting this on Valentine's Day, but I don't get to Dallas everyday and I could not pass up Sprinkles!!
The line outside!! I wasn't the only crazy person wanting cupcakes!!
Ryan arrived and we got checked in at the hotel, got ready and headed out for the night! We were advised to get there early to hear Ree speak before the signing. Here are Donna and I, just one of the great ladies I met at the signing.
This is Jimmy Belasco, he was sitting right in front of Donna and I. Donna was trying to figure out who he was, so she asked him. He told us that he owns a candle company. As soon as he said that, it clicked who he was. Ree had done a post on his candles last December, I remembered reading it and checking out his website. He told us how that Ree had in a way saved his company. Last year he was like most people, struggling with their business in the economy. Ree had picked up his candles somewhere, enjoyed them and did a post on them as a great gift idea. He immediately started getting a ton of orders, therefore helping the business. What a great story!!!! He is so cute, and stylish! I am placing a candle order asap!!

Here she is....with the whole family!! They were so cute!! Ree said she still gets nervous every time she has to speak in front of people!! The Marlboro Man looks just like you would expect, and Ree is just precious!!

All the girls were laughing so hard at Ryan while we were waiting in line. It looks like Ryan is The Pioneer Woman's body guard. HA!!

So funny!!!

Meeting Ree!!! I'm sure I sounded like a crazy lady talking to her! She was very down to earth and so kind!!

Yea!!!!!!!

After the signing, Ryan and I headed to dinner at one of our favs, Truluck's Steak & Stonecrab.
We had a wonderful dinner!! It was so nice to get away with my husband!!
A BIG Thanks Big B and SuSu for keeping the boys! Thanks Ryan for taking me and spending your Valentine's with a bunch of crazy women!! HA!!!

Rough Creek Progress!!

Saturday the boys were up bright and early to head to work at Rough Creek!! Don't mind Jack he is eating his donut holes!!

My Mom, Jack and I went to have lunch in Tyler. We then had to run a few errands in the mall. It was absolutely terrible!!! It was like they were giving stuff away!! CRAZY! Since we were already in Tyler, I suggested we drive to Palestine/ Rough Creek to see the progress that has been made. I had not seen all the new work finished!! When I walked in I was just blown away!! It looks so GREAT!! We have the walls finished, doors and trim up. Lights are going in and the fireplace is under way!!

My parents guest cottage is almost completed too!! Dad was working hard finishing the floors in it, and then it will be ready for furniture!! So exciting!

I am just in love with this room, all the windows and our fabulous chandelier!!

My hard working boy, sharpening his machete!
Mr. Hollywood!!

The boys working!! They are just so in their element here!!

Our floor options, we choose the center one. Floors will be stained this week!!

Ryan showing me the doors and trim in the boys room.

This picture is terrible, I forgot my big camera. This is looking up at our cabin from my parents porch.

For all the boys hard work, I picked them up a treat in Tyler. Their most favorite things cookie cake and sweet tea!! I love my boys so much!! They have worked so hard and built our cabin from the ground up!! So many wonderful memories have and will be made here!!

Barrett's Valentine Party!

On Friday we had Barrett's class Valentine Party! I rushed around Friday morning getting everything ready!! I took pictures of the kids and made Valentine's for them to decorate and give to their parents. Of course I waited UNTIL Friday morning to make the Valentine's, Ha! I managed to somehow get them done!!

My little Valentine's and I!!!!

The kiddos decorated cookies, decorated their Valentine's cards, and ate TONS of sugar!!

Jack was coved in pink icing!! This little man loves him some sugar!!!

After the food, the kids all read their Valentine's.

Remember those precious little iPhone Valentine's that I made for Barrett's goody bags. Well the kids thought they were so cool!! The only problem was that that all started tearing my iPhones up!! I was like NOOOOOO!!! I explained that you just open the boxes on the top, you don't have to ruin them!! AHHHH!!! Kids!!
