Dr. Visit and LCH

This morning it was SO hard to get the boys up!! Barrett was very tired from a night of Christmas light decorating!! Poor Jack has just been feeling bad for the past few days. It was slap back to reality after the holiday weekend!!

After we dropped B off at school Jack and I headed to Tyler in the pouring rain...ugh!!!

I just knew he had an ear infection, even though he wasn't acting like he felt that bad. Not that you EVER want your child to feel bad; but it never fails when the doctor comes in, he gets a second win and ALL symptoms disappear!! HA!!

Love this face..."mom, really? I don't feel good!"

Poor little man did have an ear infection, hopefully now he can start to feel better!!

Jack and I then headed to Target to finish up shopping for the family of boys we adopted for Lindale Christmas Helpers. It's getting close to turn in time for the bags. The boys had so much fun getting the other boys gifts all ready!!

Here they are ready to take the boys gifts to turn in.

We tried to help wrap this afternoon too, that didn't go over to well. Jack was cruising around on the kids bikes and Barrett had sharpies and scissors. Need I say more!?!?

I love that the boys are learning it is so much better to give than receive!!

Black Friday!!!!

Well....I actually participated in Black Friday this year. I went to sleep early while watching Texas get beat by the Aggies on national television; ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

I set my alarm and woke up at 3a.m.!!! Craziness! I met my mother in law and sister in law at their house and we headed off on our shopping extravaganza!

I had no idea what to expect, and frankly I was unprepared!! These people are a little more dedicated and hardcore than I am.

Here is our line at Academy!!! I got my sweet hubby's everything he requested from there. When I called and told him he REALLY thought I was joking!!! Way to make me feel good babe!!

We made 8 stops by 9 a.m.!!! I really couldn't shop because I was so busy marveling at all the
psychos I mean shoppers!!

I came home hoping to nap but one crazy little man had other plans!!

We are still at my parents house while the big boys are hunting. We decided to start the Christmas decor, SuSu is such a pro!!!

We are still decorating and watching football, my kind if lazy day...minus this morning. Ha!!!

One of my Favorite things!!

Since Oprah had her LAST favorite things today, I decided to share one of my favs!!

I have been in love with this candle for a while now...like years. It is a holiday candle that I get from Neiman's. Years ago it was made by Harry Slatkin "the nose" for fragrance. It is now the same scent but made by NEST, still sold at Neiman's. I just adore it! It is THE perfect holiday scent!!

I have started burning mine, and I'm in heaven!!!

Shutterfly Christmas Cards

I ABSOLUTELY love Christmas cards!! I look forward to this time each year just for that reason. I love to receive Christmas cards, and I most certainly love designing my own!! My cards have evolved over the years. I have gone from the old style where you take the photos and have them developed then glue them on, to the professional digital kind. The ones I love the most are the ones that I design. Shutterfly has some fabulous Christmas cards this year, http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery. I have used Shutterfly a few times before for my boys Christmas and Valentine cards. They have TONS of options to choose from and they are so CUTE!! Not many people think to do photo Valentine's, I have done them the past two years. http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/valentines-day-cards-and-stationery

Now if I had girls I would SO use this one!!!

I am loving the "monogrammed" look of the cards this year. I am all about some monograms!

I highly recommend checking the website out here http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards for some super cute cards!! It is so easy to create a fabulous card. I have been designing cards ALL day, now I have to choose one!! Happy card making!!

Poster party!!

This afternoon I was making posters for the bake sale at Barrett's school. Well trying to make posters!

Barrett really wanted to help me! After a short battle over the sharpies, he finally resorted to his crayons.

He put one of my posters on the floor for an example.

I thought it turned out pretty cute!!

I heart Starbucks!

So today was early release day for the boys at school. Which meant my day alone was cut short...boo! Ha!! Just kidding, kind of.

Leeanne and I headed to Tyler for pedi's and a trip to Starbucks. I LOVE Starbucks, and today they put out their holiday stuff which meant these beauties were back!!!!

I got one of these last year and I love it!!

How happy was I to find the new ones today!! It was a short but productive day. My dad called right before I was about to get the boys. He asked what I was up to? I said " the boys have early release today, so I am going to get them." He died laughing and said "did they go to prison recently?" HaHa!! I never thought of it like that!!

Cowboys and Gingerbread Houses

We had a fairly boring Monday. All I can say about this fall back thing, is that I don't care for it!! The kids are still waking up at the break of dawn and I am not a fan!

After school the boys wanted to play outside as usual. Barrett was busy with a project. He soon called me over to take a peek at his "gingerbread house"?? REALLY?!?

Yeah, he is feeling Christmas, obviously!!

He was also super protective of his creation!

Jack is like "hey, I just wanted to look!!"

He gave up trying...little cutie!! Jack said fine, I'm gonna go ride a horse!!

And the shirt says it all!!!!

Barrett's Bday with SuSu

SuSu came up today to spend the day with Barrett for his 6th Bday, which was last Monday!!

I realize that I haven't posted about his actual birthday or Jack's for that matter! bad mommy!!

I will get to those someday soon...I hope! We let Barrett choose where he wanted to eat and he chose the dreaded "Chuckie Cheese"! Oh how I loathe that place!! Being that it was his birthdayI gave in.

This morning while getting ready I was playing with his hair and brushed it over more than normal. I was laughing and said "oh B you look like Justin Beiber!" he had no clue what I was talking about, but agreed to pose for a pic.

We headed to "Chunky Cheese" for some fun! Oh My the place was packed!!

Mims and Jack had a blast on the rides and Barrett was obsessed with getting tickets!! Nothing like spending $50 on tokens to get a $5 prize at the end!! HA!!

This child is SO different from Barrett!! When Barrett was little, who am I kidding, even now; he like to stay pretty close to me. Jack does not care, he wandered all over the place! Scares me to death!

Leeanne came to join us and give B his gift, so sweet of her! She got B a tent which he loves and is sleeping in tonight, or so he says!!

Here is the belated bday boy with his gift from SuSu and Big B!

He had a fun day and looks like it will be a fun night ahead!!

Rainy Playoffs

Tonight was our first District Playoff game, Go Eagles!! Ryan was hunting, and the thought of me taking the boys by myself...in the rain..well it wasn't looking good! My sweet Barrett talked me into it, "mom, we would just be sitting at home!" So I gave in and the whole drive to Whitehouse it was POURING!!! I was hopeful; the radar showed that after it passed it looked fairly clear. We stopped to eat in Tyler and let the rain pass.

Contrary to the pic, Barrett did NOT have a margarita! HA!!

We then headed to the game. The rain had slowed, but it didn't last long.

My cute little men in their rain gear!! It rained off and on throughout the first half. It was pretty hard to keep a squirmy 2 year old dry! So we left at the end of the half, we were up 22 -0!!!

On the drive home Barrett informed me that he needed to "focus" on writing the number 2, because it was hard for him. HA!! He is growing up way to fast!! It was an fun night with the boys! Barrett thanked me for taking him so many times which made it ALL worth it!! Lindale won 49 - something!!! Yea Eagles!!!

Trick or Treat....Happy Halloween?

Our little city offices decided to make Saturday the 30th the official "trick or treat" night, since Halloween fell on a Sunday. It didn't really matter to me, but it caused a bit of debate among many others in town, HA!! My kiddos didn't know the difference!! So on Saturday after a little shopping and lunch with SuSu, Nanny and Shi'Shi' in Lufkin we headed home to Lindale. Ryan and Barrett were working at Rough Creek, which is coming along quite well I might add! I was just hoping that Ryan had Barrett home in time to go treating. The boys tend to lose track of time when they are there!!

Here are the boys I mean "Deadliest Catch Crew!!

Captain Barrett!!

We always go with our neighbors/friends the DeWolfe's, here is the whole crew!

Barrett and Bailee best buds!!

Jack had a ball! He was running down the street like a mad man!!

Daddy multi taking...now he knows how I feel!! HA!!

We had a great early Halloween night! Boo Y'all!!!
