Santa Land 2010

Once we were all finally over the sick bug, all Ryan's family came up so we could go to our hayride at Santa Land! Dori and Eric with their 6 boys, and Nana and Kobly met us at Posado's for dinner. No one dared come to our house they didn't want to get sick, I don't blame them!! We ate EARLY in hopes of beating the crowd at Santa Land. Well, we didn't really do that! There was a huge line, or at least I thought so. Until Dori informed me that they waited in a much longer line last year....Umm, yeah I'm not doing that! HA!!

We had a trailer full and it was a blast! We will defiantly do it again!!

LCH handout Day 2010!!

Saturday was the big day!! Since November Lindale Christmas Helpers have been hard at work!! LCH a great local organization, which I became involved in this year; they take on kids in need to make sure they have Christmas.

LCH has been collecting food, shopping for toys and clothes, and wrapping!! There are so many wonderful people that make this event possible. I was so blessed to be involved with them!! The joy that we experience from the gratefulness of the families is just indescribable!! It's just heart wrenching and warming day all at the same time!!

What happens is children or families are put up to adopt. Each child receives a blanket, bible, jacket, shoes, clothes, toiletries, and toys. Additionally, each family receives a turkey, milk, oj, bread, and can goods so they have food for Christmas. It is truly amazing!! This year we had over 250 kids and over 130 families!! WOW!!

Saturday was our big day, handout day!! I was do thankful that I was feeling better just in time!! The 24 virus was gone!! Praise the Lord!!

Here are a few photos of all the food, and presents. You really can get a grasp unless you see it in person! I have adopted kids in the past, just bought the gifts and turned them in. I have a whole new outlook this year after being involved!!

Gifts wrapped and sacked up by family ready for delivery!!

Bikes, bikes and more bikes!!

Here is just some of the food!

Here we are...handouts! Let the tears begin!!

Making miracles happen!!

I am just in awe of all the people that make this happen every year!! It is truly a blessing for so many of our local families!! It was such a joyous day full of emotion!! God is so Great!!!

Busy Thursday!

On Thursday our day started out great! SuSu, ShiShi and Mimsy had spent the night with us, and SuSu fixed Barrett a wonderful breakfast!!

Thursday was Polar Express day at B's school, he was so excited to wear his p.j's!!

This little silly boy had a not so fun morning he woke up sick....not that you could tell from this picture! HA!

Mom and ShiShi headed home and Jack and I headed to Tyler to help pick up some deliveries for Lindale Christmas Helpers. I have so much enjoyed being involved in this organization this year!!

It was pretty comical seeing Tonya and I getting 140 turkeys and orange juices!! I was praying that the goods made it back to Lindale in the truck!!

Jack seemed to be feeling better, so I thought we might not all get sick. Well when I picked B up from school he was not feeling well! :(.

Barrett got sick Thursday night and do did I. Terrible timing I am homeroom Mom and had a party to give on Friday!!

Well needless to say, we didn't make the party!! My sweet hubby's took all the party goods to the school!! He stayed home Friday, took care of all of us and cleaned the house! WOW!! Thanks Babe!!

Wednesday with Mimsy!!

Today we had a fun day with Christie and Mims!! I haven't posted about it on the blog, but my sister and her fam recently moved away. Cue the tears!

I haven't been able to write that post, or think about it to be honest!

Christie had a doctors appt. here today, so we had a slumber party last night! So fun!! The kids have beenfighting err playing like crazy!! Jack and Mims have been so cute hugging all the time! Well, when he's not hitting her on the head?!? We had a fun lunch at the Potpourri House, my favorite!!

We also did a little shopping at the mall. Where I may or may not have bought out the twisted peppermint stuff from Bath and Body!!

These two had a blast on the rides!!

This afternoon my Mom graciously helped me make 20 gingerbread house for B's class party. Let me just say mistake! What was I thinking, they took forever and were quite messy!! I am just crazy busy and stressed right now!! I love how the husband and kids say, "I just love Christmas time!". Well, of course you do!! I do everything and you sit back and enjoy!! HaHa!! Just kidding!! I cherish being a Mom, and getting to be and do everything for my family!!

I am knee deep in decorations, presents, hot glue guns and MESSES!! Toodles!!
