Field Day at ECC

Wednesday was Field Day at Barrett's school. He was so excited about it, we had been practicing at home! Jump Roping, Hula hooping, etc. He was READY!!

Mrs. Petty's Class!!

Wednesday was also a very sad day for us, we learned that Ryan's grandfather, Pappy, had a massive stroke and was in ICU in Houston. Ryan came to field day for a little while and then headed to Houston to be with our family. Barrett was so excited that Daddy came to watch him!!

Barrett had so much fun! He did really well in all events, his favorite of course baseball! Mrs. Petty asked him if he played? He told her yes, and she said she could tell, he was AWESOME!!
Of course Jack HAD to get in on the action too!!

So excited about his medal!!

Sno cones for a job well done!!
What a fun day, I can't believe this year is almost over!!

Baseball & Stitches!

Last Tuesday the 17th was a first around here, Barrett had his first big "accident". We were rushing to get to a baseball game. Barrett said he forgot his gum, he rushed to go back inside to get it and while getting out of the truck, he slipped and landed chin first on the rock driveway!!!!!!! He didn't cry right away and I knew it was BAD!! I rushed over and saw blood everywhere!!! Ryan and I cleaned it off and tried to look at it. I thought it might need stitches, so I called Cara our neighbor/CRNA and had her look at it. She said that it needed stitches! AHHHH!! Luckily, Cara talked to him and told him what to expect. So Ryan and Jack headed to the ballpark because Ryan had to coach the game, and B and I went to the emergency clinic. I called Anna and had her go to the ballpark to corral Jack until I got there, she saved me!!

My BRAVE boy and I waited to be seen.

Barrett was absolutely great!! He was nervous but he didn't even cry!! I held his arms down and stayed right by his side. He ended up with five stitches!! I think it was just as hard on me, seeing him in pain!! His whole little body was just shaking while they were injecting the numbing medicine. SO SAD!!!! Such a big man!!! No the lips aren't swollen, Au natural', jealous??

After B was patched up, we headed to our game!! When we got there, the team yelled "come on B we need you!!" I was so proud, he went right out and played liked nothing had happened!!!
The boys played great and Barrett was the hero, he even got to do the end of game huddle count down, which is a HUGE deal!! Another Longhorn Victory!!!

Jack and sweet Karah! The Nance's happened to be at the ball field so they watched our game.

During the game I couldn't keep this sweet boy off the fence, everyone was joking that from the looks of things, it wouldn't be my first "accident"!! HA!!!

My friend Leslie said it best, "With boys it is NEVER dull"!!!

Movie Monday

On Monday Anna and I had planned on going to see the new movie "Bridesmaids", I couldn't wait!

It was pretty hilarious, like I laughed out loud the majority of the movie. It's a definite go! After I got home I had the pleasure of more trash t.v., it's was RHONJ premiere!! Yes, I love my trash t.v. I won't lie. One word, WOW!! I mean are these people real!?!? Looks to be a good season!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Here is a quick weekend wrap up! On Friday we had a surprise visit from Big B, SuSu, Christie & Mary Michael. They boys were SO excited to see everyone! Friday night Barrett had a t-ball game, we played the Rangers. It was fun to see a few of Barrett's team mates from last year.

Mim's and Jack had way to much fun! Eating, running around and literally climbing fences!! HA!!

At one point during the game one of our players got hurt and the all the Ranger players took a knee, it was so nice. The Longhorns pulled out a win again!! Way to play ball boys!!

Saturday it was time to work! We headed to Rough Creek to finish the flowerbeds. Wow, we worked REALLY hard!! I mean I was literally shoveling rock ALL day!! I am NOT a fan of hard labor, HA!!

My Dad had the great idea on what to do with the beds, we used giant larope and then filled it in with rock. I think it turned out great!! The boys had a great time as usual, working hard and riding the Ranger.

Here are the finished beds and some different views of the Lodge............

We also moved the shuffle board table in and hung Ryan's new black bear mount. It is really coming along! So exciting!!

I am so ready for the cabin to be finished! We are getting close, counter tops and cabinets are being done now!! What a fun weekend we had!!

The boys had fun watching the mascot and boy "cheerleaders"!! The boys were really choreographed & everything! Full out cheers and tumbling. So Funny!!

Yes....this would be my crazy child LAYING on the ground. He also WOWED the crowd with a forward roll, followed by loosing his shorts!! Oh yeah, down around the ankles!! Haha!!
