Major Monday

Monday started off in a MAJOR way. Christie and I went to the gym! As I mentioned last week we joined a new gym. We are not "gym going" people as a norm, but we thought it was worth a try. Monday morning we decided to try a Zumba class. It was so much fun! My only problem is that Jack did not like the nursery AT ALL!! My children are so SHY!! I guess they get this from their Daddy, my Mom says I was not at all shy as a child. Blame Daddy HA HA!! I feel so bad leaving a crying baby in the nursery. The poor girls who work in there hate me I know. I'm just hoping the more I leave him that he will get use to it?????
Oh I sure hope so!!

After the harrowing gym experience, we headed home. Barrett was playing outside and Jack was napping while I cleaned and caught up on DVRed shows. : ) I went out to check on him. When you walk out and this is the first thing you see.......................

It CAN'T be good!!

Buddy, What are you doing?

"Mom, I'm cutting the grass since Daddy won't mow it!"

Oh, okay then. Carry on!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Here is a little recap of what the boys were up to this past weekend! On Friday we met Christie and Mims in Tyler for a some Tar-Jay and Lunch. We had lunch outside on the patio at Cheddars which the kiddos LOVED! Only problem was they wanted to get out and play in the waterfall and run around! It was a beautiful day!

We then headed home and B decided to do a little dragon slaying?!!

Ryan had gone out of town to take some guys turkey hunting, so it was just the little boys on I on our own for the weekend! We finished Friday up with a little soccer practice. Whew, I was worn out and it was only Friday night!

Saturday morning we had our soccer game!

Go Falcons!!

Give this man a snack and he is good to go! Well, that is until the snack is gone. Then I ended up chasing him around, trying to keep him off the field!!

Saturday afternoon we had t-ball practice. Thank goodness Kolby and Paw Paw came to take Barrett to that, because Jack was so tired; and I was secretly hoping to stay home and watch the masters. LOL!! Barrett had a good practice and I was so glad that I didn't have to take Jack out to practice and deal with a tired baby!

B in Kolby's hat, future second baseman like his Uncle!!

Both of my boys adore their Uncle Kolby!!! Hard to believe that when Ryan and I started dating this adorable boy was 9 months old!! Geez, I'm getting old!!

On Sunday morning we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel with Christie and Mims, our dining partners. We spent the rest of the day being lazy and watching an amazing Masters!! So happy for Phil!!!

Daddy arrived home and these boys were so excited! We ALL missed him!

Kissing Bandit and Crib Jumper

Okay, sorry no pics to go with this post but I had to put this on here. I was getting ready to go wake Jack up from his afternoon nap, to pick Barrett up from school. I was thinking "oh I sure hate to wake him up!" As I went to open his door, it felt like there was something up against it. I pushed the door open and what do I find? The lights are on and every toy in his room is strewn everywhere, and my baby is standing there laughing! Yes, he has learned how to get out; or rather fall, jump, I'm not really sure out of the crib!! Oh my heavens! Barrett never even attempted this type of thing. I should have known Jack would shortly figure it out. Just yesterday while I was cleaning the boys bathroom; I see Jack get on the step stool, hoist his leg onto the counter and use the faucet as a handle to pull himself up on the the counter. REALLY?? I mean he is a complete monkey!!

So I get my escapee in the car and head to preschool to pick B up. When I walk in to get him, Mrs. Jennifer whispers to me. "He got Sophia on the lips today." Me: What? Huh? You mean a kiss?" She said "yes, and I told him we don't do that." I was so embarrassed. I mean I know he has seen Ryan and I kiss, I kiss him, Jack, and Mary Michael. I have never encountered him wanting to kiss anyone other than us. I quickly apologized. As soon as we got to the car I said "Barrett why on earth would you do that, we don't kiss people other than our family." He paused and said "well I kissed her, I'm gonna marry her anyway." Oh really. I continued the questioning about why he would do this. He finally told me that one of his friends told him to. So then I have to go into, "well if your friends told you to....yada yada." Yes, I am the mother to the kissing bandit. Sorry Sophia! LOL! Barrett had a shirt when he was little that said "Lock up you daughters" never did it have a truer meaning!!!

New Starts

Today Christie and I decided we were going to join a new fitness club. I had been a member of another club in town, but they don't have childcare. Christie wasn't a member anywhere so we thought if we joined this new club and put the kiddos in the nursery together they would like it. So, while we signed up Mim's and Jack went to the nursery at the gym. After we were finished I see one of the ladies holding Jack, and he wasn't to happy. She told me that a little boy had just left with his Mom and that is when Jack got upset. He wasn't crying, just not happy!! Mim's on the other hand was fine, of course; it's my children who are the clingers. LOL!

After signing up at the gym what's better than a little Mexican food. HA HA! We thought why not! We headed over to Posados for a some lunch.

These two loved themselves some ice cream today! They got messy but they had fun!!

Speaking of new starts, I am so excited for something that starts today!!! The Masters!!

Ax Man and Snakes

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had some VERY dangerous days outside. Jack and I were busy doing laundry inside and B was outside as usual. I happened to glance out to check on him and I see him with this.........................

And even WORSE this.........................

When I asked him what on earth he was doing with his Daddy's AX and Sledgehammer? He looked at me and said "What Mother, it's fine." UMMMMMMMM NO, it's not! I don't know which made me more mad the weapons, or the fact that he called me MOTHER. I remember doing this to my Mom when I was mad at her, and I am SOOOOO getting paid back for it! Sorry Mom!

On Wednesday afternoon we were all outside playing in the yard. Barrett wanted me to play soccer with him. Jack was busy with a tractor, so B and I started playing. The ball got kicked to Barrett and he ran to the fence to get it, I hear him SCREAM "Rattlesnake" and Run! I look over about a foot from him was a Copperhead snake!!! AHHHH!!!!

I was just so glad that it wasn't over by Jack. Barrett has seen snakes and knows to run away and tell Mom, Jack would have tried to pick it up. Oh, my heart was in my throat. Luckily, Barrett had a shovel near by. I grabbed the shovel and cut his head. I'm sorry if y'all don't agree with killing snakes, but I have babies in the yard and they have to GO!! So don't scroll down if you don't want to see a picture of it. Barrett insisted I put the snake on the blog, he was so proud of himself. He has declared that he is a snake hunter, GREAT.

I know that where we live there are snakes all over. It's just so scary with Jack and Barrett, to see such a big copperhead right where we were playing!!

Dentist Appointment and Baseball

On Monday Barrett had a dentist appointment, so we went in for his check up and cleaning.

He got a great report from Dr. Lindsay, she also told him that he has two bottom teeth that are loose. He is really excited about this!

Barrett was VERY excited for T-Ball practice Monday afternoon, he had on his "baseball" clothes all day I think. Finally, 5 o'clock rolled around and Daddy came home to take B to practice!

While Barrett and Daddy were at baseball practice Jack and I cooked dinner. He snuck off for a minute and this is where I found him..............

CRAZY, I turn my back for ONE minute! This child literally gives me a panic attack once a day!! And no, I didn't leave him to go get my camera. I had the phone in my hand, HA HA!!

Easter Sunday and Pappy's 80th

Sunday morning started off with the Easter Bunny basket goodies. Although, Barrett informed me that SuSu made a better basket than the Easter Bunny, thanks Mom! He said she knows what he likes better than the bunny, gee I need to take note of that for next year. Consult SuSu before Easter shopping!

Barrett decided to take Jack for a spin in Mary Michael's new birthday present!

This was our first Easter with out Ryan's Nanny. I knew it was going to be hard for everyone. Nanny loved having Easter at her house. She always kept a beautiful yard and loved to have all the kiddos hunt eggs at her house. I was asked to make the Banana pudding for Easter, which was such an honor. About a week before her passing we had stopped by Nanny and Pappy's for a visit. I had asked her about her Banana Pudding and she hand wrote me the recipe. At the time I didn't know just how special that recipe card would be to me, she passed away a few weeks later. I will always be grateful for that last surprise visit we made to her house, and I will cherish that recipe forever! I thought of her while making that pudding and it turned out great!

We went over to Pappy's house like usual, had a great Easter meal and remembrance of Nanny.

Jack found this chair at Nanny and Pappy's that he just loved it!

My little bunnies!

Cousins!! Blaise, Braden, Bransen, Barrett, Breece, and Jack. Think he's going to feel left out someday, that he doesn't have a "B" name?

Jack hunting eggs, he was not really to interested in this.

He would rather be doing this......................

Barrett however, loves hunting eggs or anything for that matter! The big boys make it a competition of course, and I think Barrett won with 35 eggs!

The whole family, minus Paw Paw he was taking the photo!

The Hopson Family

Barrett enjoyed riding the bunny.

Jack, not so much!

On Easter Sunday, we also celebrated Pappy's 80th Birthday! Happy Birthday Pap, We love you!!

We had a very Happy Easter!! Hope all of you did too!!
