Halloween Party in Lukfin

On Friday after school we headed down to L-town for a Halloween Party!

What do you need right before a Halloween party?.....Why CANDY of course! The boys were screaming and being silly on the drive down and I thought HMMM, a ring pop will keep them quiet. HA!

The ring pops were a terrible idea, my car had sticky hand prints EVERYWHERE!!

The party was at the Winston's Clubhouse, some family friends of ours. It was beautiful out there!! The views were spectacular! They had bounce houses, hayrides, face painting and all kinds of fun foods!

The boys were dressed in the "Deadliest Catch" costumes. My fisherman and his catch!!

Jack felt the need to pummel Mim's with the cotton candy, which they were both bothered by. Neither one of them would try it?? Who knows, it's like they were scared of it. Jack really needs to change that, I personally LOVE cotton candy!!

Barrett quickly found the face painting booth. Jack and Mim's also got in on the action!

Jack and Mims were ALL about the bounce houses! Did they care that children 3 times their size were going crazy in there....NO!!! Those two are just fearless!!

It was a great party that also benefited a great organization. The hosts asked everyone to bring donations for the Humane Society, and they got alot of stuff!! It was a very fun evening!!

Trunk or Treat Thursday!

I know.....Where have I been right?!? Well super busy and overwhelmed. I had gotten so far behind, I felt like I couldn't get it together. HA!!

So for now I am going to start with this weeks festivities and maybe someday I can finish the rest of October???

Thursday was Trunk or Treat at Jack's MDO! For trunk or treat I decided to let Jack wear the costume that Barrett wore when he was two. How cute is my little lion!!

Here are Mary Michael and Jack before we dropped them off at school!

Christie and I headed to the parking lot to set up for all the kiddos. I love trunk or treat. The sweet little ones all dressed up just holding out their sacks like...just give me the candy, to funny!!

Jack was just fine trunk or treating and getting candy from all the Moms, UNTIL he saw me! Of course after that he was DONE and decided eating a dum-dum with me and passing out candy was more fun! HA!!

Jack finally made it back with his class for a class picture. Poor little Mim's the only girl!!

After "trunk or treat" Christie and I headed to Canton for a little retail therapy!! The weather was gorgeous!! It was a great Thursday!!

Toothy Thursday!

Thursday was a better day because little Jack was on the road to recovery! Let me say this though, he is terrible about taking medicine. This is really the first time he has had to take something everyday. He is just terrible, spits it everywhere and I feel like he is not getting any. Oh you would think I was torturing him! Ha!

We stayed home and caught up on TONS of laundry! When we picked B up from school as we were leaving the gym, B's "girlfriend" Sophia found us. We all walked out to our cars together B and Sophia held hands all the way to the cars. How stinking cute is that!! These two crack me up, they have been best buds since they were babies!!

I guess he was to worried about Sophia to tell me when I first saw him, but as we were pulling out of the parking lot Barrett says "Oh here is my tooth, I lost is today!" He lost it during lunch time and the nurse gave him a little treasure chest to put it in.

Thursday was also Barrett's very first report card. I mean the second tooth and a report card, where does the time go people!!! He got a very good report card, I was very proud!

Not so Wordless Wednesday

On Wednesday Jack was still very snotty so we didn't go to the gym for like the 100th day! I feel like I haven't been able to go in forever. I have either had meetings, sick baby, or had other appointments. I haven't been totally slacking though, I have been walking in my neighborhood. To be honest I have lost more weight in the last 2 weeks being on a gym break then I usually do on a normal week??? Go figure!

Anyhoo, the girls and Jack walked our four miles before heading to Tyler for errands. We had lunch at Salsarita's, which is quickly becoming one of our favs. It is like a Chipotle.

Jack and I ran a few errands in Tyler and then we headed home to pick up B-doodle! As we were driving home something made me call the Dr.'s office to see if they had and appointment to get Jack in that day. He wasn't acting like he felt bad, but I just had a feeling that something was wrong. Luckily they fit us in, so we picked B up and headed right back to Tyler.

Look at these two it looks like Jack was copying Barrett, but he wasn't it just happened that way.

Dr. Rogers wasn't in, so we saw Dr. Patterson and she was super sweet! She asked all the normal questions, FEVER? Pulling at his ears? All of which I answered NO to. When she checked his ears she said well he has double ear infections and a junky throat. AHHHH!! I felt terrible. He showed no signs that he felt bad! She got us fixed up with medicine and we headed home to help this little man get better!!

Mother of the Year, I know!!

Fall at the Arboretum!

Barrett had no school on Monday and I thought it would be a great time to head to the Dallas Arboretum. It is so beautiful in the fall thay have pumpkins everywhere!!!

Leeanne, Christie, Mims, Mom and the boys and I all loaded up in my car and headed east toward Dallas. My thought was that we would get some great pictures of the kiddos.....WRONG!! Christie and I both had our cameras and neither of us got that many good pics!!

It was a great day the weather was perfect. The arboretum was crowded, but it worked out fine.

The theme this year was "Storybook Village" they had little houses with fairy tales posted outside each one. It was so cute, but to be honest I didn't take that many pictures of the actual decor. I was to worried about pics of the kids. HA! But all the decor was just wonderful!!

We had fun at the petting zoo!

Look at these "kissing cousins" HA HA!!!! They are little dolls!!

We waited in a HUGE line so the kids could get their faces painted!

Jack took one look and decided he was not into it! Barrett got Spiderman, and Mims got some hearts on her hands.

After the Arboretum we met Lacey, Leeanne's sister for lunch at "The Cheesecake Factory".

We ended our day with a trip to "Sprinkles" our absolute favorite cupcake place!! Yum!! Such a fun day.

Silly Boys!

Here are a few pics from this week. I can't even remember what day these were so I entitled this silly boys! They never fail at keeping me "entertained"?!??

Rubber boots are for....bike riding??

Barrett called me the other saying,"Mom you have to come see this baby!"

I don't even want to know how he got in there!

Last but not least! What a great way to start your morning; fritos for breakfast, on the floor!!!

Weekend wrap up

Last weekend was very low key, it was just Jack and I! Ryan was hunting. Oh yes, it's that time of year again! Barrett headed to Lufkin with PawPaw. At first Barrett didn't want to go, but by the end of the day he was ready!! He picked a good weekend to go. Dez Bryant a fellow Lufkin Panther; now a Dallas Cowboy was going to be at the football game! Dez was there to have his jersey retired and sign autographs. Barrett had a great time at the game with PawPaw and Kolby! Kolby said he made the jumbotron and then got to go down on the field and play with some of the team. He also got a shirt from the cheerleaders! Go Pack!! Lufkin won the game!!

Jack and I relaxed at home and enjoyed college football Saturday.

We were sporting our Texas gear, although it didn't help! Our Ole Miss Rebels played well!! Go REBS!! Jack was cracking me up holding up his arms saying TOUCHDOWN!!

Barrett and the crew worked at rough creek on Saturday. When they came here that night to have dinner, Barrett said he was going to go to Mineola to spend the night with PawPaw again! I couldn't believe it!

On Sunday Barrett came home and we decided to build our spooky house that Leeanne had gotten the boys. She is so sweet she always gets the boys something for Halloween!!

I think it turned out pretty cute!!

Dori, Ryan's sister is getting married later this month. She had sent me a picture of some apples that she wanted to make for the reception. I thought I should give them a try.........

Not to shabby! It was my first try! No deer for Daddy this weekend, but he had a good time with his friends. I secretly know why Ryan NEVER kills a deer on opening weekend; if he did the season would be over! HA!!

Haircuts and Shots!

Last Thursday after school we had a few errands to run. The boys had their flu shots at the doctor in Tyler, so we rushed to get those. Well Jack got a shot, Barrett was very adamant that he was getting the "flu mist"!!! HA!!

After the shots were taken care of, we drove back to Lindale for haircuts! Barrett needed a trim and my baby needed his FIRST haircut!! I can't believe that Jack is almost 2 and this was his first cut!! He just got the back trimmed, he had the beginnings of a mullet! I didn't get a picture of the cut because I was holding him! HA! Needless to say "Joe Dirt" is gone!!

I'm sure no one could tell, I keep my boys hair long! But he looks like a big boy! Hate it when that happens!!

We then spent the rest of the day playing outside, it was a gorgeous day!!

Kindergarten Open House

On Wednesday we had open house at Barrett's school. Jack got himself ready to go......obviously!

Barrett was so excited to show us all his artwork and his school!!

Here he is with his "all about me" poster outside the classroom.

All the kids made "themselves" I asked Barrett which one was his, and this is the one he showed me?????

Now.... the last time I checked, my child had blonde hair. Needless to say, I think this cute little boy belongs to someone else! HA!!!!

He took us on a tour of the school and showed us his music room and the gym. He said "I won't take you there, but the playground is my favorite!"

We then headed to the cafeteria for milk and cookies!!

He is really loving school and I am so glad!!
